1. Everyone think of yourself as #1. Say, “I’m number 1” and stand up.
2. Find one buddy and add your numbers together. One person adopts the new number and remains standing. One person sits down.
a. If standing - repeat step 2
b. If sitting - remain sitting.
3. Repeat until there is only one person standing up.
4. When the last person is standing up, announce your number.
Take Away: each time the class runs through the game (or loop), you are halving the class each time, coming up with the answer in less then 4 steps for a class of 24 students.
